The Bai minority's courtyard architecture and craft traditions here are still active, not staged for tourists — Dali's old town is one of the more genuinely lived-in historic centres in Yunnan.
怎么体验
Wander without a fixed route; the old town is compact enough that you won't get meaningfully lost, and the side lanes away from the main gates are quieter.

Foreigner Street is the busiest, most commercial strip — worth seeing once, but not where the town's actual character is.
