Piano Museum, Shuzhuang Garden

厦门, 福建

A seaside villa-turned-garden housing close to 100 historic pianos, the legacy of Gulangyu's nickname as 'Piano Island'.

为什么要去Piano Museum, Shuzhuang Garden?

Built in 1913 as a private villa for local businessman Lin Erjia and donated to the public in 1955, Shuzhuang Garden's Tingtao Pavilion has held this piano collection since 2000 — a direct artifact of how many wealthy international residents once lived on this small island.

怎么体验

A combined ticket covering Shuzhuang Garden, the Piano Museum, and Sunlight Rock is cheaper than paying for each separately and is sold at the main pier's information booth.

小贴士

Visit in the morning; the garden's sea-facing pavilions get crowded with tour groups by early afternoon.
